Bahrain condemns terrorist attack on church in Damascus

Manama, June 22 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned and denounced the terrorist attack that targeted Mar Elias Church in the Dweila area of central Damascus, Syria, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain’s sincere condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of the victims and to the Syrian Arab Republic government and people, wishing a speedy recovery to all those injured.

The ministry reiterated Bahrain’s solidarity with Syria and its support for the country’s security and stability. It emphasised the Kingdom’s firm rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism particularly those targeting places of worship and innocent civilians which undermine peace, spread fear, and violate all religious, moral, and humanitarian values and principles.
