His Majesty the King holds call with Amir of Qatar

Manama, June 23 (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held a telephone call with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.

During the call, His Majesty expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s full solidarity with the State of Qatar and strongly condemned the attack on Qatari sovereignty carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). His Majesty described it as a flagrant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, and a clear breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

His Majesty reiterated Bahrain’s steadfast position in standing firmly with the State of Qatar. His Majesty affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain stands ready to provide all necessary support to the State of Qatar in any measures it undertakes.

His Majesty underscored that the bonds that unite Bahrain with Qatar and all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states necessitate a unified stance in the face of such violations. His Majesty called for concerted efforts to exercise restraint and prevent escalation, emphasising the importance of peaceful resolution of disputes.
