Bahrain Chamber wins membership in World Chambers Federation Council

Manama, June 30 (BNA): In a new international achievement for the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has won membership in the General Council of the World Chambers Federation (WCF) for the period from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028. This came through the election of Atif Mohammed Al Khaja, CEO of the BCCI, to the WCF Executive Committee, during a council session with representatives from over 120 countries.
Al Khaja was elected following a vote by chambers of commerce from more than 120 countries, in elections held according to WCF rules. The WCF, part of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), is the largest global network representing chambers of commerce. It helps chambers improve their services and competitiveness, especially for small and medium enterprises, through practical tools like certificates of origin, the ATA system, and international events.
The WCF supports global trade by advocating for business interests, building institutional capacity, and conducting strategic research on global market trends, helping member countries achieve sustainable development and enabling chambers to play a stronger role in facing globalisation challenges.
