NPRA participates in GCC Directors General of Passports 39th Meeting

Riyadh, July 3 (BNA): The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) participated in the 39th meeting of the Directors General of Passports in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held in Saudi Arabia.

Bahrain’s delegation was headed by Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Dussairi, Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-Up.

The meeting discussed the follow-up on the implementation of the decisions issued by Their Highnesses and Ministers of Interior, based on the outcomes and recommendations of previous meetings, along with topics of mutual interest.

Revisions of the latest progress made by the joint working team regarding the unified GCC tourist visa were also reviewed, and discussions on initiatives and proposals submitted by the participating delegations aimed at enhancing coordination and cooperation in the fields of migration and passports among GCC countries.

The Bahraini delegation included Lieutenant Colonel Fawaz Nasser Al Jeeran, Director of Ports and Passports representative, and Major Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Director of the Passports.
