HM King returns to Bahrain following visits to France and Italy

Manama, July 15 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa returned to the Kingdom of Bahrain this evening following a private visit to the French Republic, which was followed by a working visit to the Italian Republic.
During His Majesty’s visit to Italy, HM the King met with Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy.
His Majesty the King and HE the Italian Prime Minister discussed the long-standing ties between the two countries and explored efforts to further develop and expand cooperation across various sectors, in addition to reviewing regional and international developments of mutual interest.
The talks also covered the situation in the Middle East and ongoing collective efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, HE Prime Minister Meloni congratulated HM the King on Bahrain’s election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2026–2027 term.
Discussions also addressed bilateral economic cooperation in light of the upcoming visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Rome in September, during which bilateral agreements will be signed.
