Saudi Pavilion Showcases 'Wonders of Arabia' at Expo 2025 Osaka

Osaka, July 16, 2025, SPA -- The Saudi pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka offered visitors a comprehensive experience of the Kingdom's tourism and cultural assets through the "Wonders of Arabia" exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority from July 10 to 16.
Saudi Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner-General for the Kingdom's pavilion Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr emphasized that Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations globally, thanks to its natural and cultural attractions, including a 1,800 km coastline and major cities hosting international events. He described the pavilion as a bridge between Osaka and Expo 2030 Riyadh, welcoming tourists from Japan and around the world to explore the Kingdom's treasures.
CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority Fahd Hamidaddin noted that Japanese travelers seek authentic cultural experiences. He highlighted the exhibition as a key opportunity to showcase Saudi heritage, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of bilateral relations. Hamidaddin reported a 7% increase in Japanese tourists last year and aims to sustain this momentum through tailored experiences reflecting Saudi hospitality.
The exhibition featured interactive experiences, beginning with a welcome area which showcased Saudi hospitality. Live performances and traditional craft demonstrations were presented by artists from the Heritage Commission and Music Commission, and ten Saudi designers displayed their work. Local artworks were also available for purchase.
Visitors also enjoyed panoramic views of key tourist destinations, traditional performances, a cultural photography room, and a sports center. Promotional booths offered gifts that reflected the Kingdom's spirit and diversity.
