Work to Improve Quality of Consumer Goods Brisk in DPRK

 Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Light Industry of the DPRK is putting spurs to the work for improving the quality of consumer goods.
Officials of the ministry in charge of the textile industry sector are ensuring the quality of the cloth for school uniforms on the highest level.
They updated the standard of the tetron fabric to improve the quality indices including the flexibility and strength of sewing threads.
The Knitwear Industry Management Bureau strives to develop and produce new goods by using various kinds of functional knitted yarns.
Technical officials of the management bureau have completed the sample, pattern and technical guide on new knitted goods and sent them to relevant factories, thus raising the quality of knitted goods to a higher level.
The Songyo Knitwear Factory has produced new knitted shirting favorable to health and good to look at and the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory  functional socks for antibiosis under the guidance and help of the officials of the ministry.  
Officials of the Management Bureau for the Shoe-making Industry direct the efforts to improving the quality of products at the shoe-making production units while saving materials.
