Plan for Producing Early-ripening Fruits Fulfilled

 Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- The Onchon Fruit Farm in the DPRK fulfilled its plan for producing early-ripening fruits by 110 percent as compared with last year.
The farm set the pruning of fruit trees as a key link in raising the fruiting rate and increasing the per-hectare yield, and organized a show and passing-on-technique meeting.
The farm established the food production cycle of fruit farming and animal husbandry at a higher level, increased the production of self-sufficing manure to raise the fertility of soil and improve the nutritive conditions of trees and the quality of fruits.
It also conducted a prediction work and established a scientific fertilizing system to prevent damage by harmful insects.
The farm harvested well-ripe fruits and sent them to residents, the baby home and the primary school for orphans in Nampho Municipality. -0-
