State Academic Degrees and Titles Awarded to Intellectuals

 Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- State academic degrees and titles were awarded to the intellectuals who reliably guarantee the overall prosperity and development of the DPRK with proud scientific and technological research achievements.
Present at the awarding ceremony held on Thursday were Vice-Premier of the Cabinet Jon Sung Guk and intellectuals.
After a decision of the State Commission for Conferment of Academic Degrees and Titles of the DPRK was read out, professorship was conferred on Han Chol Hun, a researcher of the State Academy of Sciences.
Doctorate was conferred on 29 persons including section chiefs Pak Un Song and Rim Chol Min, researcher Kim Chol Song, graduate students Song Kil Song, Ri Yun Hyok, Ri Su Ryon, Kim Kon Gun and Kim Kum Dong of Kim Il Sung University, researchers Kim Jong Guk, Choe Un Hwa and Jon Chung Hyok of Kim Chaek University of Technology, teachers Ho Chung Hyok, Ryang Hui Son and Kim Hyon Mi of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Kim Ju Song, a researcher of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, Pak Chol U, a teacher of University of Sciences, Kim Chol Min, a section chief of Wonsan University of Education, Ri Sung Chol, a section chief of Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering, Kim Chung Ryol, head of an office of Chongjin University of Medicine, Kim Sung Il, a researcher of the Academy of Social Sciences, Choe Jun Yop and Hyon Thae Ho, researchers of the State Academy of Sciences, Pak Sung Il, vice-president of the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences, Ri Mi Gyong, a researcher of the Academy of Pedagogical Science, Jang Chang Sop, a section chief of the Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, Ryom Son Hui, a section chief of the Korea General Red Cross Hospital, and Hwang Il Guk, vice-president of the South Phyongan Provincial Dental Hospital. -0-
