HE Lebanese President visits Bahrain EDB

Manama, July 23 (BNA): During the official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the Republic of Lebanon, and his accompanying delegation, visited the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) in Bahrain Bay.

HE President Aoun was received by Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted the importance of HE the Lebanese President’s visit as an opportunity to gain insight into Bahrain’s experience in diversifying its economic base and enhancing its investment infrastructure under the leadership of His Majesty the King and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also highlighted the strategic and executive plans being implemented by Bahrain EDB to support these national objectives.

HE President Aoun was given a briefing on the Kingdom’s government work mechanism and Bahrain’s economic performance and achievements in economic growth and diversification. The visit also highlighted the Kingdom’s investment opportunities and competitive advantages as a gateway to regional markets.

Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of Bahrain EDB, spoke about the EDB’s role as the central contact point for investors, promoting Bahrain’s appeal through strategic marketing and events targeting global companies. She also explained how the EDB supports investors through company setup and expansion, leveraging Bahrain’s competitive benefits for both local and international investments.
