CDSI discloses figures of Saudi non-petroleum exports in 1Q2009

Riyadh, July 13, SPA -- The non-petroleum exports of the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia declined during the First Quarter (1Q) of 2009 compared
to the same period in 2008 by 21 percent.

The exports dropped from SR 30145 million in 2008 to SR 23701
million, according to a latest report issued by the Central
Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI).

Petrochemical commodities topped the exports, and these were
followed by plastics, food materials and re-exported commodities.
