OIC pays tribute to the victims of Srebrenica massacre

Jeddah, July 13, SPA -- On the Remembrance Day of the Srebrenica
genocide of 1995, the Secretary General of the Organization of
Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu paid tribute to the
victims of the massacre carried against the Bosnians under the notion
of ethnic cleansing and expressed solidarity with the kith and kin of
those who lost their precious lives during that period.

In a press statement, the Secretary General, while sharing the pain
and sorrow of the grieving families and friends emphasized that the
only course of action that could do justice to the departed souls is
to bring the perpetrators and accomplices of such odious act to task.
"This would also facilitate the reconciliation process in the
region".

On this solemn occasion, the Secretary General called upon the
international community to assume its full responsibility and work in
unison towards making it a better world with a view to preventing
such heinous crimes against humanity in future.
