Pakistan Affirms Support for Saudi-French Initiative to Establish Palestinian State

Islamabad, July 29, 2025, SPA -- Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar affirmed Pakistan's support for the joint initiative by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic aimed at establishing a sovereign Palestinian state.
In a statement published by the Pakistani news agency yesterday, Dar described the international conference held at the United Nations headquarters in New York as a significant step toward developing a roadmap for peace based on the two-state solution.
He expressed hope that the conference would achieve two key objectives: securing an immediate ceasefire, and ensuring the unimpeded delivery of urgent humanitarian aid. He also stressed the importance of international recognition of an independent State of Palestine.
Dar underscored the need for full respect for international law and the implementation of all relevant UN and Security Council resolutions pertaining to international peace and security.
