Human Resources Minister Reaffirms Saudi Arabia's Commitment to Human Dignity on World Day Against Trafficking

Riyadh, July 30, 2025, SPA -- Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi commended national efforts to combat human trafficking. He emphasized the Kingdom’s priority on this issue through a legislative and executive system grounded in Islamic Sharia principles and aligned with international standards, aimed at protecting human dignity and ensuring a fair and safe work environment.
On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, Al-Rajhi noted that human trafficking is a serious human rights violation requiring a comprehensive response that includes prevention, protection, and accountability. He highlighted the ministry’s National Policy for the Elimination of Forced Labor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the first of its kind in the GCC countries, which aims to eliminate trafficking by promoting decent working conditions and empowering vulnerable groups.
He underscored that the ministry, alongside the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking, is implementing a comprehensive plan focused on capacity building and protection tools. He reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to justice and human rights, aligning its efforts with Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes human development and protection.
