Bahrain, Spain hold first round of political consultations

Manama, July 29 (BNA): The first round of political consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Spain was held today.
The meeting was chaired by Ambassador Khalid Yousif Al Jalahma, Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Diego Martínez Belío, Spain’s Secretary of State for Foreign and Global Affairs.
Ambassador Al Jalahma commended the strong bilateral relations between Bahrain and Spain, highlighting their steady growth and progress across various sectors. Bahrain expressed commitment to cooperation with Spain and enhancing bilateral ties in support of mutual interests.
On his part, the Secretary of State expressed Spain’s aspiration to continue advancing bilateral relations with Bahrain. He commended the outcome of this round of political consultations and wished Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation and means to enhance ties in the political, economic, and cultural sectors, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international developments and topics of mutual interest.
