OIC Condemns Israeli Approval of 3,400 New Settlement Units
Jeddah, August 15, 2025, SPA -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned Israel’s approval of a plan to build 3,400 new settlement units in the West Bank, including in occupied Jerusalem.
The OIC reaffirmed that Israeli occupation and colonial settlement are illegal under international law, UN resolutions, and the International Court of Justice advisory opinion, and must be ended immediately.
It warned that Israel’s ongoing policies of aggression, settlement, destruction, displacement, and blockade, describing them as systematic crimes that violate the rights of the Palestinian people, undermine the two-state solution, entrench annexation plans, and attempt to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories. The OIC called on he international community to assume its responsibilities by putting an end to these crimes committed by Israel, the occupying power, holding it accountable, and imposing sanctions in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions.
