Reception Given to Mark 80th Anniversary of Korea's Liberation

Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- The DPRK people celebrated the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation as an auspicious event for all the people which an immortal milestone was set in the glorious course of its nation building and development and opened a new era of building an independent power. A reception was given at the Mokran House on Friday to amid the great joy and excitement of the people
Present there were leading officials of the Party and government and meritorious persons of socialist patriotism.
The national anthem of the DPRK was played.
Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, made a speech at the reception.
He warmly congratulated the participants who were invited to the reception for celebrating the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation with the pride of having made good achievements conducive to the prosperity of the country and the well-being of the people at the revolutionary posts in their charge, true to the policies and plans of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government.
He said that the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation is shining as a history of succession which has been recorded as the tough struggle and success of all generations to firmly preserve the precious tradition of Korea's liberation and be true to its intention all the time.
We have always made efforts to live in the spirit and traits of fighters of the first generation who pioneered the revolution, he said, adding that it is the great pride for us to make the long history of 80 years with great victory and glory by inheriting the ideological and spiritual wealth created by the forerunners.
He expressed the will to remain faithful to the idea and spirit created in the 20-year-long anti-Japanese war and provided on the untrodden path of nation building and to continuously write a new history of building a powerful country with the devoted patriotic struggle and the good results to demonstrate the world the great people's country.
All the participants toasted the eternal development of the great country. -0-
