Evening Gala of Youth and Students Held

Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) --Youth and students held an evening gala at Kim Il Sung Square on August 15 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
The venue of the evening gala, where songs such as "Song about the Country" and "We Are Koreans" resounded, was full of pride and optimism of the youth and students who greeted the day of liberation of their beloved country in the watershed of 80-year history recorded with heroic struggle and creation.
A dance was staged to the tune of the song "We Sing the Revolutionary Cause of the Leader" praising the noble career and revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation and laid an eternal foundation for the happiness and prosperity of all generations to come.
Numbers and letters "8.15" and "Celebration" were projected onto the square floor and the popular dances of the anti-Japanese revolutionary army and female group dance were displayed.
The ardent reverence for the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who has glorified the sacred exploits of the President for national liberation as the eternal wealth of the Korean revolution and recorded the history of ever-victorious Korean revolution and the heroic history of the dignified and powerful Juche Korea.
Amid the infinite pride of devoting youth to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people, the fireworks were set off in the nocturnal sky of the capital city to display a spectacular scene.
The evening gala of youth and students and fireworks display in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation demonstrated the indomitable spirit of the new generation to creditably discharge their honorable mission and duty as reliable advancing group and a wing of the Workers' Party of Korea in the vanguard of the struggle to make the country as more powerful and prosperous one, the greatest patriotic legacy of the President. -0-
