HM King congratulates BJA Chairman and board members on election

Manama, Aug. 16 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa congratulated Isa Al Shaiji on his re-election as Chairman of the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA). His Majesty commended the confidence entrusted to him by the association’s members, which reflects his long-standing experience, professionalism and contributions to the advancement of Bahraini journalism.

His Majesty also congratulated the newly elected board members, wishing them success in achieving the association’s goals, upholding its mission in serving its members, advancing Bahraini journalism, and developing the skills and capabilities of journalists. His Majesty expressed appreciation for the efforts of the association’s founders and former members, whose work has enriched the Kingdom’s journalistic journey.

His Majesty commended the significant achievements and milestones BJA has accomplished over the past 25 years since its establishment, attributing this success to the dedication of successive generations of distinguished journalists and media professionals.

His Majesty highlighted the role of Bahraini journalism throughout its history in serving society, supporting national development, fostering unity, and addressing issues of importance to the nation and its people. His Majesty emphasised Bahraini journalism’s credibility, objectivity and professionalism in reporting events, defending the Kingdom’s interests, security and stability, showcasing its achievements, and supporting its cultural and developmental progress.

His Majesty thanked all journalists for their dedication in serving their country, their community, and their fellow citizens.
