Under the patronage of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain to host MEOS GEO in September

Manama, Aug. 17 (BNA):  Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Kingdom of Bahrain will host the Middle East Oil, Gas and Geosciences Show (MEOS GEO) from September 16 - 18 under the theme "Energy for a Prosperous Future: Leading a Sustainable Tomorrow".

Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, emphasised that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is firmly committed to supporting and diversifying its energy sector.  This commitment is anchored in advancing sustainable development goals and strengthening Bahrain’s role as a regional hub for clean and renewable energy.

Dr. Daina emphasised that MEOS GEO, which has been one of the region’s foremost specialised oil, gas, and geosciences gatherings since its inception, represents a pivotal platform for regional and international cooperation in energy and Earth sciences.  Its continued success over the years underscores its prestige as a global platform for dialogue and the exchange of knowledge, insights, and experiences among specialists, engineers, and technicians from national, regional, and global operators.

He noted that Bahrain’s hosting of the event reflects its steadfast dedication to fostering innovation, empowering talent, and contributing proactively to the transition toward sustainable energy and a low-carbon economy.

Mohamed Ibrahim, General Manager of Informa Markets, highlighted that the organising committees, comprised of international firms, are diligently developing programmes and activities that underline the significance of the conference.  MEOS GEO presents a prime opportunity to explore the latest developments and modern technologies that advance knowledge and facilitate experience-sharing among industry leaders.  He also commended the support of the Ministry of Oil and Environment in ensuring the success of the event.

The conference will address the key challenges facing the energy sector amid global shifts toward sustainability and clean energy.  It will explore advanced technological solutions, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, green hydrogen, petroleum geosciences, reservoir engineering, and cutting-edge techniques for resource recovery.

MEOS GEO is organised by Informa Markets in coordination with the Ministry of Oil and Environment, in collaboration with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).  It is also supported by several Bahraini, Gulf-based, and international companies.meos-geo.com

The event will feature an extensive programme, including keynote sessions, technical papers, and an exhibition spanning more than 18,000 square metres, showcasing hundreds of global firms with the latest innovations in exploration and production.  It will offer live laboratories, an interactive electronic poster zone for research presentations, a dedicated start-up zone, digitalisation areas, a display for oil and gas industry transport trucks and solutions, and a programme for young professionals and students designed to inspire the next generation of oil and gas specialists.
