BJA Chairman highlights HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s role in advancing Bahraini journalism

Manama, Aug. 17 (BNA): Isa Al Shaiji, Chairman of the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA), extended his appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for His Royal Highness’s congratulations to the Chairman and members of the Association’s Board on their election and the formation of the new Board.
Al Shaiji said the Bahraini press is deeply grateful for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s continued support and guidance, which empower journalism to fulfil its role with ease and contribute effectively to Bahrain’s development and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He noted that His Royal Highness’s steadfast support has enabled Bahraini journalism to overcome challenges faced globally and keep pace with developments in this vital sector.
Al Shaiji affirmed that the Bahraini press takes pride in His Royal Highness’s ongoing attention to the media and his directives to strengthen the role of journalism within the team leading Bahrain’s progress.
He added that His Royal Highness’s patronage of the annual Prime Minister's Award for Journalism, alongside the Association’s celebration of its Silver Jubilee this year, reflects his confidence in the role of responsible national journalism in supporting Bahrain’s development.
Al Shaiji concluded that these enduring and significant positions of support inspire the Bahraini press community to uphold professional standards, credibility, objectivity, and ethical practices, ensuring that the Association remains a platform reflecting the rich heritage of Bahraini journalism and a key pillar of democracy in the Kingdom.
