AZERBAIJAN`S OMBUDSWOMAN MEETS INDIAN AMBASSADOR
Baku, July 14 (AzerTAc). Human Rights Commissioner of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanoa has met with Indian ambassador to the country Debnat Show.
Ms. Suleymanova briefed the Ambassador on the Ombudsman Office`s work to protect human rights, its cooperation with state bodies, NGOs and international and regional organizations.
She said her Office is interested in establishing cooperation with India on human rights adding the Ambassador could contribute to it.
For his part, Debnat Show told of the Ombudsman Office`s activity in India.
He also noted a number of changes have been made to his country`s legislation on human rights.
