 Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- In Hyangsan County, Jagang Province of the DPRK, there is the Myohyangsan Medical Appliances Factory which has turned into a model one for the medical appliances industry.
The Myohyangsan Medical Appliances Factory which produces medical equipment and appliances conducive to promoting the people's health is associated with the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's devoted efforts to provide the best and good things for the people.
One August day in 2018, Kim Jong Un visited the factory and taught to turn the factory into a model one playing a leading role in the medical appliances industry, saying that in order to make the people fully enjoy the benefits of modern medical service, it is necessary to radically raise the material and technical foundations of the public health sector.
That day, he said that the officials and employees of the factory should turn out as one in the work for modernizing the factory with the awareness of being masters, and encouraged them to lead the public health sector and the medical appliances industry of the country.
The factory, which was remodeled as a model of the medical appliances industry under the care of the Workers' Party of Korea, has developed dozens of kinds of new products on the principle of reducing costs and improving quality, and produced such medical equipment and appliances as dental unit, otolaryngology unit and various kinds of medical beds and sent them to medical institutions at all levels.
By fulfilling its national economic plan every year, the factory won the "Lathe No. 26" Model Machine Prize and had the honor of model technical innovation unit and model sci-tech learning space unit.
