Civil Defense Stresses Importance of Protecting Children from Domestic Hazards

Riyadh, August 19, 2025, SPA -- The General Directorate of Civil Defense has underscored the importance of protecting children at home from potential dangers. These include sharp tools, cleaning materials, chemicals, fire sources, and unsupervised access to swimming pools.
The directorate further highlighted the need to prevent children’s exposure to entrapment hazards, ensure electrical outlets are covered, and secure electrical wiring to reduce risks.
It urged families to adhere to safety guidelines and instructions announced through official media and social platforms. For emergency assistance, the public should call 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, or 998 in all other regions of the Kingdom.
