AZERI ICT MINISTER TO ATTEND ECOSOC SESSION IN SWITZERLAND
Baku, July 14 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Communication and Information Technology Ali Abbasov will be attending a session of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) on July 14-15 in Switzerland where Transnational Eurasian Information Super Highway Project will be presented.
The project aims to create information super highway between West and East and to simplify access to ICT opportunities for the region`s countries.
The highway will unite countries of Eastern Europe, CIS, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan, with access to China and India, and create conditions for development of a new transnational giant information network of the world in this region. The project will cover more than 20 countries of the region.
