Hydroelectric Power Sector of DPRK Increases Electricity Production
Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- The hydroelectric power sector of the DPRK produces more electricity every day than planned in August.
The Suphung Power Station, which completed the task of overhauling the generating equipment planned for this year ahead of schedule, is increasing production.
The Hochongang and Jangjingang power stations are producing a lot of electricity every day by putting water control of reservoirs in a scientific and technological way and ensuring high water level and high efficiency operation.
The Kanggye Youth Power Station and Taedonggang, Pujongang, Sodusu and Thaechon power stations have also increased the electricity production.
The Wiwon, Namgang, Huichon and other hydroelectric power stations regard it as an important way of increasing the production to raise the efficiency of water turbines and direct efforts to readjusting and reinforcing the existing production foundations.
Thanks to the struggle of the workers of hydroelectric power stations across the country, more successes are being registered in increasing electricity production. -0-
