Madinah's Jadad: a Harvest of Tradition

   Madinah, August 27, 2025, SPA -- A term rooted in the region's rich agricultural heritage, Jadad marks the final stage of Madinah's date season, when fully ripened dates are harvested.
   For farmers, Jadad marks the culmination of a season’s hard work. Historically, this crucial harvest was a joyful social occasion that brought families and neighbors together to meticulously gather every date.
   Following the harvest of Rutab, the Jadad stage for various date varieties in Madinah begins and lasts until early September. The extended period is necessary for the dates to complete their ripening process.
