SFDA CEO Leads Delegation to 41st Annual ISPE Meeting in Washington

   Riyadh, August 27, 2025, SPA -- Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Dr. Hisham Aljadhey led SFDA’s delegation to the 41st Annual Meeting of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE), held in Washington from August 22 to 26, in the presence of heads and representatives of counterpart and specialized drug regulatory bodies from around the world.
   ISPE aims to promote safety by providing a global forum for the open exchange of scientific information and for developing policies and education in the field of pharmacoepidemiology. This includes areas such as pharmacovigilance, effectiveness review, and therapeutic risk management.
   The society also provides a neutral scientific space that allows for the presentation of diverse opinions from all parties involved in drug development and usage. Its members represent various scientific disciplines in the field of medicine, working in academic institutions, government bodies, and both for-profit and non-profit organizations.
   SFDA's participation aligns with its efforts to enhance its leading role in drug regulation, benefit from global expertise in developing this vital sector, and strengthen its strategic partnerships with relevant entities.
