Industry Minister Reviews Latest Manufacturing Technologies at North Carolina's RTP

   Riyadh, August 27, 2025, SPA -- Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef reviewed the latest advanced manufacturing technologies and innovative industrial solutions during his visit to Research Triangle Park (RTP) in North Carolina, United States, accompanied by National Industrial Development Center CEO Eng. Saleh Al-Solami.
   The minister's tour at RTP included visits to globally leading institutions in the fields of research, innovation, and advanced technologies, including the SAS Institute for artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, whose services cover 140 countries around the world, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; the CAMAL Center for Advanced Manufacturing; and the Energy X Lab, a pioneering facility in sustainable clean energy research and solutions.
   During the tour, the minister of industry and mineral resources met with leaders of these institutions and discussed ways to enhance effective partnerships in research, innovation, advanced manufacturing technologies, and sustainable energy solutions, along with opportunities for knowledge and technology transfer to accelerate industrial transformation in the Kingdom and achieve the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
   The visit reflects the Kingdom's commitment to enabling research, innovation, and advanced manufacturing technologies in the industrial sector, thereby enhancing its efficiency and global competitiveness through the establishment of international partnerships, the exchange of expertise, the localization of the latest industrial technologies, and the attraction of quality investments.
