International Symposium Held in DPRK

 Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- An international symposium of Kim Il Sung University took place in the DPRK on Wednesday.
Present there were officials, teachers and researchers of the University and scholars of educational, scientific research and cultural exchange institutions of Russia and China.
Dozens of papers were presented to the symposium held on the theme of "Independence, equality and regional development", divided into panels of socio-politics, economics and humanities.
The scientific accuracy and truth of the great revolutionary ideology of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea that indicated the path of the overall development of Korean-style socialism were proved in an academic way in the papers including "Essence and features of the revolutionary ideology of the great Comrade Kim Jong Un" and "On the policy of the WPK on regional development".
In the paper "To preserve and develop the national cultural traditions is an important requirement for the countries and nations aspiring after the building of an independent and peaceful new world", speakers emphasized the importance of the national cultural traditions in strengthening friendship, cooperation, unity and solidarity among the world peace-loving people.
In the papers including "New change in the international economic situation and future of East Asian regional cooperation" and "Creative groups as means of Russia's regional development", speakers explained the means and methods for effective economic growth at present when the globalization of economy is accelerating.
The papers dealing with the theoretical and practical issues arising in developing the friendly relations between the DPRK and China on the principle of equality and mutual benefit were also heard.
The symposium shared valuable research results in socio-politics, economics, historical science, law, international relations, literature and other studies and exchanged views on the issues of mutual concern. -0-
