High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade Marks Its 50th Founding Anniversary

Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- The High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade marked its 50th founding anniversary.
The shock brigade formed and named by Chairman Kim Jong Il has performed the valuable feats of making active efforts in the vanguard of the socialist great upsurge in the annals of the revolution and steadily bringing up successors of the new generation who will uphold the cause of the Workers' Party of Korea, remaining faithful to the honor and mission of the regular young builders' unit.
A meeting to mark its founding anniversary was held at the North Phyongan Provincial Art Theatre on August 27.
Present there were Ri Hi Yong, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials, commanding officers and members of the High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade Management Bureau and persons of merit.
Ri Hi Yong conveyed a congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the WPK to the members and commanding officers of the shock brigade.
The congratulatory message highly appreciated the shock brigade for having performed brilliant feats in history with its activities and devoted efforts and demonstrated the vitality of the WPK's unique policy of attaching importance to the youth.
