WB provides further help to improve Yemen's fisheries






SANA'A, July 14 (Saba) - Minister of Fisheries Mohammad Shamlan was briefed on the
World Bank (WB)'s report of its tour to the coastal provinces during the Bank's
current visit to Yemen.

The report included the most important observations which aim to shed light on the
need of carrying out studies and fishery researches as well as improving fisheries
sector's infrastructure.

It also included the significance of preparing guiding programs to preserve fish
stocks and affirmed the role of training and qualifying fisheries associations.

The Minister affirmed during his meeting on Monday with WB delegation the necessity
of considering these observations, directing the concerned authorities in the
Ministry to study them.
