National Economic Plans for August Fulfilled in DPRK

 Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- Various sectors and units of the national economy in the DPRK fulfilled their national economic plans for August.
Officials and workers in the fields of metallurgical and chemical industries including the Musan Mining Complex, the Posan Iron Works, the Unryul Mine, the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex and the Myonggan Chemical Factory brought about a great upsurge in production.
The Ministry of Electric Power Industry successfully fulfilled its August national economic plan.
Coal miners in the field of coal-mining industry including the Chonnae, Kyongwon and Myongchon area coal-mining complexes launched a mass movement to increase the coal output.
Officials and workers in the field of machine-building industry including the Ryongsong Machine Complex, the Taean Heavy Machine Complex, the Pyongyang Electric Cable General Factory 326, the Kumsong Tractor Factory, the Pyongyang Bearing Factory and the Kusong Machine Tool Factory fulfilled their assignments without fail.
Several units in the field of mining industry have made innovations in the mineral and nonferrous metal production.
The field of forestry sector fulfilled the August national economic plan for the Ministry of Forestry.
The railway transport sector established a unified command system and fulfilled the monthly transport plan for the Ministry of Railways through the non-breakdown, on-schedule operation and extra-traction movement.
The Sangwon Cement Complex, the Sunchon Cement Complex, the Chollima Tile Factory and other units in the field of building-materials industry increased the production.
The light industry sector waged a drive for increased production and creation to diversify consumer goods and improving their quality.
The fishing sector including the Yanghwa, Songdowon, Hongwon and Soho fishery stations introduced rational fishing methods to meet the changing fishing conditions, thus recording good results in catching fishes.
