Bishkek, Sept. 4, 2025. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov had completed his working visit to China, which took place from August 31 to September 3. On the first day of the visit, President Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin.
The leaders of the two countries had a substantive exchange of views on key issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.
The parties expressed their commitment to further developing strategic cooperation based on mutual trust and respect. Following the meeting, a number of documents were signed.
A meeting between the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev also took place on the sidelines of the summit. The leaders expressed their mutual readiness to further deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership.
Sadyr Zhaparov then discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Then the President spoke at the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, held in Tianjin.
The head of state emphasized that Kyrgyzstan, as a country that stood at the origins of the creation of the Organization, considers its chairmanship in the SCO as an opportunity to give a new impetus to its development and strengthening of its global role, as well as to promote further deepening of friendship and good neighborliness. Sadyr Zhaparov also outlined the priorities of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in 2025-2026.
Following the meeting, the heads of state signed and adopted a number of documents.
Along with this, Sadyr Zhaparov took part in the summit in the SCO+ format, which was also attended by the heads of the observer states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the heads of international organizations.
In addition, on this day, Sadyr Zhaparov met with Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Tinh. They expressed their readiness to increase cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
As part of the visit, the head of state then arrived in Beijing by high-speed train.
As an honorary guest, he took part in the parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory and the end of World War II on Tiananmen Square.
More than 20 heads of state and government of foreign countries also attended the parade.
Sadyr Zhaparov also held talks with Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. They discussed issues of deepening political dialogue, expanding humanitarian and cultural ties, as well as further strengthening cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres.
On September 3, having completed his working visit to China, President Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek.
