Saudi Arabia Helps Foil Attempt to Smuggle 125 Kilograms of Cocaine into Lebanon

   Riyadh, September 3, 2025, SPA -- Ministry of Interior security spokesman Brigadier General Talal bin Shalhoub announced that proactive security monitoring of criminal networks involved in drug trafficking and intelligence shared by the Saudi Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, with its counterpart agency in Lebanon, led to the foiling of an attempt to smuggle 125 kilograms of cocaine concealed in a consignment of vegetable oil containers.
   The spokesman affirmed that the Kingdom remains committed to monitoring, confronting, and thwarting criminal activities that seek to target the security of the Kingdom, its youth, and those of brotherly and friendly states, against the scourge of narcotics.
