Foreign Minister meets Egyptian counterpart

Cairo, Sept. 4 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Sameh Shoukry, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in Cairo.

The two ministers welcomed the successful outcomes of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s, recent visit to Egypt, which strengthened bilateral cooperation and resulted in several agreements and memoranda of understanding across strategic sectors.

They also discussed the historic ties between Bahrain and Egypt, exploring ways to enhance collaboration, coordinate diplomatically, and support each other’s roles in regional and international organisations.

The meeting further addressed current regional challenges, including efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, protect civilians, deliver humanitarian aid, and advance sustainable peace in the region.
