International Civil Defence Organisation Sec Gen receives Bahrain’s Permanent Representative in Geneva

Geneva, Sep. 5 (BNA): Arguj Kalantarli, the newly appointed Secretary General of the International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO), received Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office in Geneva, at the organisation’s headquarters.
Kalantarli commended Bahrain’s efforts in supporting humanitarian work and promoting international cooperation in civil defence and risk reduction, noting the kingdom’s commitment to initiatives that enhance Bahrain’s ability to face disasters and protect lives and property.
On his part, Ambassador Abdullah congratulated the Secretary General on his new post and emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to continue close cooperation with the ICDO, enhance the partnership, support international efforts to build more resilient and sustainable communities, and exchange expertise in emergency response and disaster management.
