National Sci-Tech Presentation in Fields of Atmosphere and Animal Protection Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation in the fields of atmosphere and animal protection took place at the Sci-Tech Complex on September 5.
The presentation sponsored by the Central Committee of the Nature Conservation Union of Korea was aimed to actively exchange the successes and experience gained in protecting the atmosphere and animals and to apply them to practice.
It brought together scientists, technicians, teachers and graduate students from several units including Kim Il Sung University and the State Academy of Sciences.
Presented to it were more than 60 valuable papers.
The presentation in the field of atmosphere protection, themed by "Pollution prevention and protection of atmosphere environment", discussed proposals including implementing the mathematical model of atmosphere pollution prediction and developing the measuring instruments and analysis means and held a question-and-answer session.
Highly appreciated at the presentation in the field of animal protection were the study of the synthesis and application of sexual pheromone of new harmful insects, the proposal for increasing the areas of sanctuaries as they make practical contributions to protecting and increasing the country's animal resources. -0-
