Bishkek, Sept. 12, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received the heads of delegation participating in the fourth meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Bishkek.
The meeting is attended by:
- Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Baktybek Bekbolotov;
- Secretary of the Security Council under the President of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov;
- Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan, Assistant to the President Gizat Nurdauletov;
- Secretary General of the National Security Council of Turkey Okay Memish;
- Secretary of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan Viktor Makhmudov;
- Secretary General of the OTS Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
They discussed issues of regional and international security, including the fight against terrorism, cyber threats and strengthening cooperation between the Turkic countries.
The president emphasized that during the chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States, Kyrgyzstan is making every effort to further strengthen cooperation between the countries.
"Our cooperation covers a wide range of areas - from foreign policy, trade, energy and green economy to tourism, digitalization and even space exploration. And this interaction continues to expand. Today, the Organization of Turkic States has taken a significant place in regional and international stability," the president said.
He recalled the most important documents adopted within the framework of the Organization, including the Turkic World Vision 2040 and the OTS Strategy for 2022-2026 which became the basis for close cooperation in the field of security, coordinated actions in the fight against terrorism, extremism, illegal migration and organized crime.
"Kyrgyzstan always strives for a peaceful and diplomatic settlement of conflicts. We are convinced that this approach is the basis of true partnership and sustainable development," the head of state emphasized.
He also expressed confidence that today's meeting will give a new impetus to the interaction of the countries and will make an important contribution to strengthening stability in the Turkic world.
In turn, the heads of the Security Councils of OTS member states noted the high level of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the Organization and efforts to expand cooperation between the Turkic-speaking countries.
They also expressed their readiness to strengthen strategic cooperation between the relevant structures of the OTS member states.
