Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover exceeded $5.7 billion in six months

Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2025 /Kabar/. The volume of foreign and mutual trade in January-July 2025 compared to January-July 2024 is due to a decrease of 13.3% in export deliveries and import receipts by 4.8%. This was announced at a briefing in Bishkek by Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee Bakytbek Shokenov.
At the same time, he noted that in the structure of trade turnover, exports accounted for 17.2%, imports - 82.8%.
Thus, the volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and the EAEU member states in January-July 2025 amounted to 2 billion 911.2 million dollars and increased by 3.2% compared to January-July 2024. Export deliveries decreased by 23.1%, while import receipts, on the contrary, increased by 12.5%.
Of the EAEU member states, the largest share of mutual trade of the republic was with Russia (65.6%) and Kazakhstan (32.2%).
In the total, the volume of trade turnover of the country, mutual trade with the EAEU member states accounted for 33.6%, in exports - 38%, in imports - 32.7%.
The volume of foreign trade with third countries (outside the EAEU) amounted to 5 billion 753.2 million dollars and decreased by 10.6% compared to January-July 2024. The volume of trade turnover of the republic, foreign trade with third countries amounted to 66.4%, in exports - 62%, in imports - 67.3%.
