Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2025 /Kabar/. The meeting of Coordination Council of Development Institutions took place in Bishkek, led by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the participants considered the issues of refinancing the current liabilities of Tekstil Trans LLC, as well as current problems of the cotton cluster and ways to solve them for the further development of the industry.
Tekstil Trans LLC is one of the leading manufacturers of textile products in the country.
Among the new projects, an initiative to build a cotton spinning mill was presented. The planned capacity of the enterprise provides for the processing of 6.5 thousand tons of raw cotton and the production of up to 4.5 thousand tons of yarn per year.
The implementation of the initiatives will strengthen the position of the Kyrgyz Republic in the regional textile market, expand export potential, create new jobs and stimulate the development of related industries.
Special attention was paid to the role of development institutions and state banks in stimulating investment activity and supporting the real sector.
Following the meeting, Bakyt Torobaev gave a number of instructions, including strengthening financial control in the project implementation; preparing an expert plan of proposals to support businesses in related sectors of the economy; intensifying the project implementation financing instruments; developing solutions to ensure a raw material base and regulating market prices; taking a systematic approach to the development of priority sectors, including the agricultural and textile sectors.
