Large Influx of Popular ‘Khalas’ Dates at Buraidah Dates Carnival

   Buraidah, September 16, 2025, SPA -- The Buraidah Dates Carnival is witnessing a surge in the arrival of Khalas dates, which continue to attract strong interest from farmers, traders, and factories, due to their excellent storage qualities.
   Prices for Khalas dates have remained moderate, ranging from SAR20 to SAR200 for three-kilogram box, a price range that has encouraged farmers to expand cultivation. Today, Khalas palm trees make up between 30% and 45% of date farms in the area.
   Highly valued for their rich nutritional content, Khalas dates are a natural source of dietary fiber and essential vitamins. Their versatility in storage, whether frozen, chilled, or vacuum-packed, allows them to maintain their quality and taste for up to a year, making them a top choice for buyers.
