HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad launches social media award for football league coverage

Manama, Sep. 18 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, directed the launch of an award for best social media coverage of the Nasser bin Hamad Premier Football League for the 2025–2026 season.

The initiative, announced by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s media office, underscores the role of media in the success of national sporting events. The award will focus on Instagram coverage, encouraging media outlets, sports accounts, and individuals to produce creative and comprehensive content.

A specialised judging panel in digital and sports media will evaluate entries against criteria such as creativity, quality, professionalism, interaction, inclusivity, analysis, photography, infographics, and video production. Additional prizes will be presented for best photograph, video, design, and interviews.

Participation is open to local newspapers’ Instagram accounts, sports platforms, and personal accounts. Applicants must complete the registration form via (https://2h.ae/ZjFN), providing details such as the account name, responsible person, and contact information. Posts must include the designated hashtag. Entries will be reviewed within two days of each round’s conclusion.

The top three winners will receive cash prizes and commemorative shields at the league’s closing ceremony at the end of the 2025–2026 season.
