Dialogue on new investment opportunities held in Jalal-Abad

Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2025. /Kabar/. The meeting of the Regional Investment Council (RIC) held on September 19 in the new building of the Office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Jalal-Abad Region.
According to the Council Secretariat, the goal of the event is to build effective public-private dialogue through the RIC platform and, by raising awareness among the private sector, promote the region's economic development.
Participants of the meeting are Tilek Tekebaev, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Jalal-Abad Region; Uluk Kydyrbaev, Head of the Secretariat of the Business Development and Investment Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic; Alexandra Solovyova, UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic; Nurbek Anarbekyn, Director of the PPP Center at the National Investment Agency; and representatives of government agencies, international organizations, business associations, development funds, and the business community.
"We are interested in an open and direct dialogue." "True development is only possible when the voices of entrepreneurs are heard, their problems are addressed, and their proposals are implemented. The Regional Investment Council is precisely such a platform. Creating favorable conditions for business, new jobs, and expanding opportunities for young people is our top priority," noted Tilek Tekebayev, head of the region.
In his welcoming remarks, Uluk Kydyrbayev, Head of the Secretariat of the Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, noted that the RIS is a platform for dialogue where entrepreneurs can directly express their problems, government agencies respond, the decision is recorded in minutes, and its implementation is monitored by the Secretariat. In other words, the RIS is a reliable platform for entrepreneurs, an effective communication mechanism for the government, and a development roadmap for the region.
Alexandra Solovieva, UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic, emphasized that the Regional Investment Council is a unique multi-sectoral platform where solutions are discussed and jointly developed on a wide range of issues, such as attracting investment, regional and local development, improving public welfare, expanding growth opportunities, developing business and entrepreneurship, including youth and women's entrepreneurship, and developing creative industries.
Nurbek Anarbekin, PPP Center Director, noted that the PPP Center's portfolio currently includes more than 90 projects with a total investment volume of over $5 billion. More than 50 projects are in the active implementation phase, and approximately 40 initiatives are in the preparatory stages.
