PPP investments in Jalal-Abad amount 5.9 billion soms

Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2025. /Kabar/. Jalal-Abad Region continues to hold a leading position in attracting investment through public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms, according to the PPP Center.
Today, the region hosted a meeting of the Regional Investment Council with the participation of representatives of government agencies, businesses, and international partners.
PPP Center Director Nurbek Anarbekin noted that public-private partnerships are a key tool for sustainable development, allowing for the attraction of private investment in strategically important sectors of the economy.
Largest PPP Projects
The following initiatives are successfully operating and being implemented in the region:
Modern movie theater – 89 million soms;
IT center – 84 million soms;
Solid waste processing plant – 133 million soms;
Large trade and logistics center – 5 billion soms;
Reconstruction of the central city park – 528 million soms.
The total investment for these projects amounted to 5.9 billion soms.
New Development Areas
Furthermore, the region is developing projects in healthcare, ecology, digitalization, energy, and culture. These include:
construction of the Chatkal cascade of small hydroelectric power plants;
creation of a center for extracorporeal lithotripsy and hemodialysis;
launch of innovative IT platforms.
According to the organizers, all these initiatives are aimed at improving the quality of life for the population, creating new jobs, and strengthening the region's investment attractiveness.
The PPP Center has expressed its readiness to provide methodological, legal, and organizational support for these new initiatives and has invited investors to further collaborate.
