Undersecretary for Political Affairs meets CICA Secretary General

New York, Sep. 23 (BNA): Ambassador Khaled Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Ambassador Kairat Sarybay, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), on the sideline of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

The undersecretary affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with CICA member states and further developing the partnership to achieve common interests across Asia and beyond.

The Secretary-General commended Bahrain’s contribution to promoting partnership among Asian countries, founded on trust, mutual respect, and broad-based cooperation, and wished the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.

Hatem Abdulhamid Hatem, Head of the Organisations Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting.
