Kyrgyzstan, Danvit Foundation to collaborate on reforestation

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2025. /Kabar/. On September 23, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Akylbek Mazaripov met Ejin I, Executive Director of the Danvit Foundation.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed key issues related to forestry development, restoration of green spaces, and enhancing climate resilience in Kyrgyzstan.
Particular attention was paid to prospects for cooperation in the areas of climate change adaptation and the promotion of green growth principles.
Deputy Minister Akylbek Mazaripov emphasized the importance of preserving forest ecosystems and spoke about the country's ongoing reforestation and forest protection efforts against illegal logging.
We need to actively work to restore and expand forest cover, he said.
Danvit Foundation representative, in her turn, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Emergency Situations for its support and confirmed their readiness for further cooperation in the areas of sustainable development and green growth.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing their joint work to promote environmental initiatives and implement sustainable development programs in Kyrgyzstan.
