Crease Archaeological Tower: A Symbol of Unity and Resilience in Jubail

Jubail, September 24, 2025, SPA -- The Crease Archaeological Tower stands prominently in Jubail Governorate, its clay-colored walls blending with the landscape. This historic structure symbolizes a key chapter in the Kingdom's unification, built by King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud after the Battle of Sabilla in 1928 (1347 AH).
Historian Mohammed Al-Khater stated the tower was constructed to secure coastal areas from rebel threats, reflecting the Founder King's commitment to security and unity.
Architecturally, the conical tower, approximately 12 meters high and 9 meters in diameter, is constructed from limestone and sea stone, reinforced with timber to withstand coastal conditions. It features two floors for storage and defense. Its thick walls include openings for water access and loopholes for defense, exemplifying early 20th-century military architecture.
Today, the Crease Archaeological Tower is a source of pride for Jubail's residents, symbolizing the sacrifices made for national unity and security. It stands resilient against the passage of time, reminding future generations that today’s prosperity is rooted in resilience and determination.
