Undersecretary for Political Affairs participates in CICA Ministerial Council meeting

New York, Sep. 26 (BNA): Ambassador Khalid Yousif Al Jalahma, Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Ministerial Council meeting, convened in on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly in New York.

Foreign ministers of member states and Kairat Sarybay, CICA Secretary General, participated in the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Al Jalahma highlighted Bahrain’s support for closer cooperation and dialogue among CICA members, noting the conference’s value as a regional platform to strengthen trust, promote stability and tackle common challenges across Asia. He noted that Bahrain values the conference as an important driver of understanding and partnership between nations, contributing to shared progress and prosperity for the peoples of the region and the wider international community.
