Malaysian Exhibitors Rake In Rm123.26 Mln At Construction Indonesia 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- Malaysian exhibitors at Construction Indonesia 2025 recorded  total sale of RM123.26 million, reflecting strong demand for Malaysian solutions in Indonesia’s fast-growing construction market, said Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).

Held from Sept 10 to 13, 2025 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO), the Malaysia Pavilion led by MATRADE, featured 12 Malaysian companies and the Jabatan Landskap Negara, which showcased a wide range of innovative solutions.

Participants also engaged in more than 100 business meetings with Indonesian stakeholders, including buyers, distributors and project partners.

MATRADE chief executive officer Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz said the strong sales recorded at Construction Indonesia underscored the competitiveness and resilience of Malaysian companies.

“Indonesia’s construction industry is among the fastest-growing in the region, projected to reach RM1.87 trillion by 2030.

“This offers tremendous opportunities not only in infrastructure and building materials but also in sustainable urban development and landscaping,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Mohd Mustafa said  MATRADE is committed to helping Malaysian companies forge stronger partnerships in Indonesia and position Malaysia as a trusted partner in shaping the country’s future cities and infrastructure.

“By providing innovative and sustainable solutions, our exporters help contribute to greener urban spaces and more resilient communities, in line with Indonesia’s development agenda,” he added.

The national trade promotional arm under Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry said the nation’s landscaping expertise also attracted strong interest at the exhibition.

It said with Indonesia’s rapid urbanisation and emphasis on sustainable city planning, demand for urban greening and landscaping solutions is expected to increase.

“Malaysia’s strengths in this area are well aligned with Indonesia’s priorities in building liveable and sustainable cities for future generations.

“Malaysia’s exports of building materials to Indonesia reached RM1.43 billion in 2024, with several product categories showing strong growth. Exports of manufactured plastics surged 36.4 per cent to RM227.9 million, while metal products climbed 14.7 per cent to RM264 million,” MATRADE said.

MATRADE added that these positive gains reflect Malaysia’s capability to supply innovative, high-quality, and sustainable construction solutions that align with Indonesia’s evolving market needs.
